Last year, our firm was asked to assist in the formation of the Rochester Police
Foundation - a nonprofit organization supporting the Rochester Police
Department. How could we say no? Needless to say, the Foundation now exists and I have the privilege of serving on the inaugural Board of Directors/Trustees.
The Police Foundation's
programs and efforts include providing assistance for fallen officers
and their families, youth and neighborhood outreach, extracurricular
training, and purchasing equipment; just to name a
few. The Foundation already has made a positive difference through financing a very successful gun buy-back program last fall.
Formation of the Rochester Police Foundation is long overdue. The Board of the Foundation is committed to working with Chief James Sheppard to positively influence the quality of life for this community.
On Saturday April
27, 2013 the Rochester Police Foundation will host our first and annual
fundraising dinner. This will be a fun event with the evening's Honorary
Police Chief Dan Meyers, Master of Ceremonies.
Join us on the Host Committee by committing to purchasing 8 tickets for this important event or a sponsor, at the following levels:
Sponsor levels are based on rank:
-
Chief $1,500
-
Deputy Chief $1,000
-
Commander $700
-
Captain $500
-
Lieutenant $400
-
Sergeant $200
Host Committee members agree to raise $1,200 at $150 per ticket.
Host Committee members either purchase a block of tickets or sell tickets, but must commit to taking at least 8 tickets
If you are unable to attend, please consider making a tax-deductible donation. Tax-Deductible donations can be sent to the Foundation in care of this office. Please make checks payable to the Rochester Police Foundation, Inc. and forward them to Ciminelli & Ciminelli, 421 Penbrooke Drive, Suite 2, Penfield, NY 14526-2045.
Thank you in advance for your support,
Paul V. Ciminelli, Esquire
